The Right Reverend Brent E. Whetstone

The Right Reverend Brent Whetstone serves as the founding Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Saint George. A seasoned chaplain, advocate, and liturgical scholar, Bishop Brent has devoted his ministry to serving in the liminal spaces where faith meets real-world need—particularly in healthcare, crisis response, and institutional chaplaincy.

He is the author of Anatomy of a Yes, a reflective work exploring compassion, ethics, and the human dimensions of decision-making within the context of organ donation and public health in Appalachia.

With a deep love for the Anglican tradition and a heart for those on the margins, Bishop Brent provides spiritual oversight, vocational guidance, and pastoral care to chaplains across a broad spectrum of service. He is also the founder of the Whetstone Family Foundation and an outspoken advocate for education, healthcare access, and compassionate ministry in Appalachia and beyond.

Rev. Deacon Liam M. Helms

Liam M. Helms is a theologian and communicator with a background in liturgy, scripture, and digital engagement. He holds a Bachelor’s in Communication and Digital Media, a Master of Arts in Theology, and a Licentiate in Sacramental Theology from the Liturgical Institute.

A former Benedictine monk at the largest monastery in the world, Liam’s spiritual life remains deeply rooted in the Rule of St. Benedict, shaping a daily rhythm of prayer, study, and reflection. He is a Prayer Book Anglican with strong Anglo-Catholic leanings—grounded not in rigidity, but in a faith defined by reverence, love, and charity.

With a deep commitment to the Church’s sacramental life and a passion for thoughtful, accessible theology, Liam seeks to bridge tradition with clarity, and ritual with real-world relevance.

Mr. Josh Mansfield

Josh Mansfield is a lifelong resident of Cortland, Ohio. A practicing Roman Catholic with a deep and abiding love for sacred music and liturgy, Josh has been involved in choirs since grade school. He is an avid hymnal collector and hymn writer, known for his dedication to the beauty and richness of traditional hymnody and chant.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Church’s liturgical life, he was awarded a Master of Sacred Theology (honoris causa) by the Anglican Vicariate of Saint George.
